Xbox 360 To Get A Price Drop?
If you still haven’t bought an Xbox 360 by now but you’re planning to, recent photos reveal that it’s going to get a price drop on Sunday, July 13. The price? $299.99 USD.
Well, rumor has been turned to fact as retailer circulars indicate a new price point for all SKUs, thanks to the wonders of camera phones that enable blog-reading store employees to send the relevant scoops.
The price is rumored to be in light of low sales of the said console compared to the sales boost that the PlayStation 3 got with the release of Metal Gear Solid 4.
While a price drop will certainly help, the obvious solution here is to get a hot title out. A console is only as strong as the games it supports, so hopefully we’ll see less of those rehashes and more original titles on the way. And yes, I’m probably dreaming with that statement, but am I the only one who’s sick of all the re-released games?
