Wi-Fi & Cheeseburgers Do Mix
The next time you eat at McDonald’s, you might want to bring your Zune with you. The fast food chain has just signed a deal that will enable its customers to access the Zune Marketplace through Wi-Fi. And before you ask, yes, it’s for free.
…you can use Wi-Fi to browse the Zune Marketplace for music and games, and download new songs in programmed channels, music selections created by a variety of artists and stations. Zune offers both music purchases and a subscription for unlimited music listening.
Note that you still can’t browse the Web since the Zune doesn’t have its own browser, so your options are restricted to the Marketplace. Hey, I guess it’s still better than nothing. So look for a Wi-Fi symbol or some sort of sign the next time you order a cheeseburger. Heck, it could even be on the packaging itself.
