TSA Screener Did More Than Screening
We all put up with airport security because, after the inconvenience that the nearly endless inspections brings, we all look forward to safe flights at the end of the day. Well, the TSA just found out that there’s more than inspecting going on with one of its handlers. There’s confiscation, and the worse part is that you won’t know about it.
TSA Screener Pythias Brown walked off with hundreds of thousands of dollars of passengers’ belongings without ever being observed by the TSA, selling the items on Ebay (apparently he was good about customer service).
Pythias started small, stealing cameras, laptop computers, gaming consoles and eventually moved on to the good stuff including a video camera belonging to CNN, and a $47,900 camera stored inside the bag of an HBO employee.
The fact that he had to make a mistake in order to get caught means that somebody should take a look at establishing a few rules. Maybe TSA employees need a little inspection themsleves?
