Steve Jobs Wants Yearly Payments Please
Recently Steve Jobs, the face of Apple said something that has people scratching their heads saying “did he actually just say that?”
Jobs was quoted as saying:
You know, you keep on innovating, you keep on making better stuff. And if you always want the latest and greatest, then you have to buy a new iPod at least once a year.
Well, if you were going to replace your machine because of scratches, battery life dropping, and other glitches and problems, Apple thinks it is because you want their newest innovation, and while newer iPods are better than their ancestors, could you imagine buying a new one every year?
There is no gadget in my life where I feel like I need to get a brand new one every year. Maybe Steve should make an upgradeable iPod? Then we just need to buy new memory that includes new software, every year. Hopefully not though. I really have always though of Apple products as being long lasting, and it is a shame that their music player is fighting against that brand thought that I and many others have held onto for many years.
