SteelSeries Releases World of Warcraft Mouse

World of Warcraft is branching out to hardware once again, this time with a mouse. Unlike other products, the SteelSeries WoW mouse isn’t simply slapping a Horde or Alliance logo somewhere and then calling it a WarCraft mouse. This thing has 15 buttons on it, the most I’ve seen in a pointer since—well, ever! Here’s the lowdown:

They worked with Blizzard and designed the mouse around the idea that it’s practically a replacement for your keyboard; all your spells and shortcuts are there for most things, and you can switch profiles or customize super easily so you’re not always in battle mode or all-purpose mode.

As a WoW player myself, I’m more dependent on my keyboard than I am with my mouse when it comes to input, but this peripheral can certainly change that. The ability to switch profiles is a nice mix, since you’d to have your professions mapped somewhere during visits to town and yet have the mapping flexible enough to be swappable for raiding and PvP.
