Spy Shades Let You Snap Up Close

If you’re a private eye looking for a camera that’s more compact than that ten-kilogram juggernaut that you’re carrying, you might want to give these Spy Camera Sunglasses a try. Product specs are as follows:

  • 1GB of storage
  • Plays MP3s and takes 1.3 Megapixel digital photos
  • Embedded ear buds for MP3 playback
  • Remote control for taking photos
  • RF remote frequency: 2.4GHz
  • Li-ion rechargeable battery (3.7V, 240mAh)
  • USB 2.0 connection for transferring files and re-charging the battery
  • Control buttons for Vol +/-, Fwd, Rwd, Play, Pause, Capture
  • Includes: sunglasses, remote w/ strap, USB cable, storage case, cleaning cloth, extra clear lenses

The camera snaps still photos at a 1280×1024 resolution. At 1.3 megapixel, the pictures are a far cry from the quality that you can get using modern digital cameras, but the sunglasses come with the advantage of letting you take shots up close and personal, possibly as far as getting you a few “in your face” photos. Of course, the holes on the side are unmistakable to an observant target, so you might want to keep that in mind.

The MP3 playback is nice feature, but remember that the tracks will use up some of that precious space, which isn’t much at 1GB. Still, considering how cool this thing is, it’s really all nitpicking at this point. You’ll be able to score these spy sunglasses at $99.99 USD.
