Space Invaders invade your space(bar)
Space Invaders seems to be going through a bit of a resurgence. Over the last few years I’ve seen everything from so-so Space Invaders inspired sneakers to the downright sublime Space Invaders Extreme for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. But a Space Invaders keyboard? That’s just too hip for words.
Released by Bendiboard, a company that presumably deals exclusively in the UK (no online shops outside of the British Isles seem to carry their products), the Space Invaders keyboard is available in two colors — classic white Invaders on black background and the pink on white pictured above.
At £19.99 (roughly $38 CDN with the current exchange) you’re obviously investing a good chunk of that price point in style rather than function. Bendiboards do have one cool feature though — they’re made of rubber and completely flexible, making them perfect for rolling up to stick in your backpack or wiping down soda spills.
