Sony Vaio P In Pictures
Being the only netbook that I’ve managed to personally handle so far, the HP Mini 1000 holds a special place in my gadgets list. Under all its bells and whistles, what I really like about it is the form factor. Its stylish and sleek yet still manages to be usable thanks to its large keys, making it comfortable to type even though you’re using what is essentially a smaller laptop.
Those are the two reasons why the Sony Vaio P caught my eye. The unboxing photos courtesy of Akihabara News provide an excellent preview of how it looks. Judging from the photos, it is looking good.
Specs are as follows:
- Intel Atom Z530 1.33GHz
- 8 inch (1600×768 pixels) display screen
- 60GB HDD, 64GB SSD or 128GB SSD Storage
- 2GB DDR2 RAM
- 2 USB ports
- SD/Memory Stick slot
- WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth, 3G (EV-DO), Integrated GPS
- Webcam
- MS Windows Vista
Will Sony be able to make its mark in the netbook category with the Vaio P? We’ll see. I have some reservations about Vista though. I think the device might run faster if Windows XP was loaded instead.
