Sony To Release World’s Smallest HD Camcorder

High-definition is all the rage these days and Sony is looking to put it in the of your hands with the HDR-TG1. It’s currently the world’s smallest HD camcorder. For $900 USD and less than a month-long wait, it can be yours. Product features are as follows:

  • Record video in full HD (1,920 x 1,080)
  • 4 megapixel stills
  • Titanium body
  • 2.7″ touch panel LCD display
  • Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 10x optical zoom lens
  • 2-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor
  • Face detection technology
  • Memory Stick PRO Duo slot

No word on storage options other than the memory stick slot. I mean, if you’re recording in HD, how much space will that require? We’ll find that out, along with other product details, next month.
