Scan Toaster: News and bread, together at last

In this hub-bub fast pace of 21st century living, most of us don’t have a lot of time to gather information in the morning. We have to shower, eat, dress, and check whatever little news bits and emails that we can on the way out the door. It’s too bad we can’t combine any of these activities to save a little time …or can we?

The USB Scan Toaster is a finalist in the 2008 Electrolux Deisgn Lab competiton. This years theme was “appliance concepts for the internet generation.” The Scan Toaster can put anything you like on your toast — emails, news, weather. Who knows? Maybe a final version would even allow for RSS incorporation.
