Reviews: Phantom Lapboard

Slaving away in front of a computer for 7-9 hours per day isn’t exactly the most fulfilling task in the world, but it gets the job done. Still, there’s room for improvement, and anything that will make your routine easier is going to be worth checking out. While it won’t remove the humdrum of your everyday tasks, the Phantom Lapboard offers one thing that most keyboards don’t: maneuverability. Here’s the review:

Despite a few nuances, the Phantom Lapboard gets the job done, once you get rolling with it and get used to the keys. Though the spacebar was a common annoyance at times, I found myself in a more comfy typing position without having to lean into a desk or reach out my arms. I’m sure over the long haul some ergonomists will say this is more healthy, but it’s open for discussion.

So if you like the idea of moving your mouse and keyboard around and not confine them to the same space in front of your monitor all the time, this might be a good thing to check out. At $129 USD, it isn’t cheap, but for the freedom of space, it might be worth it.
