Reviews: OCZ Neural Interface Actuator
The NIA is the sort of thing that you would expect from science fiction movies and TV shows. Known as the Neural Interface Acuator, it’s a peripheral that follows brain signals and translates them to controls, replacing finger-operated joysticks and controllers.
The NIA is able to detect three types of biosignals generated by your brain, facial muscles and eye muscles via a special headband. The user can bind these signals to any keystroke using the driver and configuration software. This allows the NIA to take the place of any keyboard command in any game.
It’s certainly an interesting concept, but can it really deliver? Are you going to be able to play games without your hands? It’s certainly going to be useful for FPSs and other titles that require a first-person perspective. If you want to want to know more about how it works, you can browse the source link to find out.
