Polaroid Makes Digital Photo Printing Mobile
When you read or hear the word Polaroid, what do you think of, the camera or the picture? I usually associate it with the picture first, but regardless of how you think about it, it’s the process that counts. Polaroid brought photography to a new level by making the process instantaneous: strike a pose, snap a picture and out in comes, ready for your viewing pleasure. The company hopes to duplicate that instant gratification with the PoGo, a mobile printer that’s small enough to fit in your pocket. How does it work?
The product receives images via Bluetooth from a camera cell phone or through a USB cord from any digital camera. Then it uses inkless Zink technology to heat up the photo paper and bring out the colors embedded in the paper’s dye crystals.
So if you can’t wait to have those pictures printed, this pint-sized device is going to be handy to have around.
