Gamers and other PC enthusiasts who are looking to upgrade their video cards will be happy to know that now would be a good time to do so. NVIDIA just cut the price of its GTX 260 and 280 lines from $400 to $300, and from $650 to $500.

Nvidia has slashed the price of products with its newest GTX 260 and 280 graphics processors only a few weeks after it launched the chips, in response to stiffer competition from Advanced Micro Devices’ ATI unit.

So what are you waiting for? Video card price drops are almost unheard of in the industry, so if you’ve got the cash and the need to upgrade, go out and buy one! It’s time to finally turn those graphics settings to the max and see what your rig is truly capable of.
