Nubrella Takes On The Umbrella

Thumbnail image for nubrella.JPG

When it rains, it pours. And when that happens, you reach for an umbrella. It’s reliable and effective, even though it’s cumbersome and requires the use of one hand. The umbrella’s simple design has remained relatively unchanged for more than a few years now and Alan Kaufman thinks it’s time for a shift in perspective.

Enter the Nubrella, a self-proclaimed “ultimate weather protector” that shields you by using a transparent, dome-shaped umbrella. It wraps around your torso, guaranteeing that it stays on you. It’s stable and leaves you capable of working with both hands. The enclosed space allows you to use electronic devices and other things that you would prefer not to get wet.

You can check out the product page for more details. Priced at $60, I wonder if the odd looks are going to be worth it.
