Not All Transformers Are Created Equal
Regardless of what incarnation you’re familiar with, the Transformers series turned everyday machines and vehicles into robots in disguise. Two opposing factions met and fought in our TV sets each week as we watched in awe of Megatron and Optimus Prime. Of course, having a supporting cast in Starscream, Hot Rod, Red Alert, Ironhide and Soundwave made things even cooler.
Unfortunately, not all Transformers are created equal. Optimus Prime and Megatron are obviously on top of the food chain, so it makes one wonder who’s at the bottom. Wired has a list.
Eventually the character was dropped altogether in favor of Frenzy, a four-foot tall over-caffeinated collection of tin foil and mechanical pencils that served the vital role as the film’s Jar Jar Binks.
