New Technology For Repairing Teeth

Seeking a perfect set of dentures? Tired of maintaining what’s left of what you have? Teeth problems can become a thing of the past, thanks to tooth regeneration technology. At the risk of sounding reptilian, scientists are looking at ways to help teeth rebuild themselves by analyzing their structural composition. With that information, dentists hope that they can stop the decaying process and allow your pearly whites to heal themselves.

That’s because materials scientists are beginning to find just the right solutions of chemicals to rebuild decayed teeth, rather than merely patching their holes. Enamel and dentin, the materials that make teeth the strongest pieces of the body, would replace the gold or ceramic fillings that currently return teeth to working order.

It’s a work-in-progress, but the recent development is still ahead of the standard gold fillings that are currently used to repair teeth. In a few years, we could be looking at this as a new dental service.
