Mozilla Releases Firefox 3.5 RC 2

Mozilla just fired another shot in the browser wars with a new beta release of Firefox. Aside from the usual bug fixes, version 3.5 RC 2 includes a couple of added features:

  • Support for new web technologies such as HTML5 < video > and < audio > elements.
  • Supports location awareness, allowing users to find results relevant to their location.
  • A Private Browsing mode for those discreet web sessions.
  • A new JavaScript engine called TraceMonkey.
  • Support for over 70 languages.
