Million-Dollar Bike To Be Used In The Olympics
The next time that you watch the Olympics, make sure that you keep a close eye on the cycling events (I’m not even sure if there’s more than one). What you’re looking for is this million-dollar bike from Koga Miyata. Designed for Dutch athlete Theo Bos, this thing’s all about speed. Here’s the description:
According to reports, it has the lowest air resistance of any bike in the world, but it has no brakes and only one speed. That, combined with a super stiff frame make it one of the most “difficult bikes to ride.”
A million dollars for a bike that’s difficult to ride and has no brakes? Sounds like a plot device from an expensive Jackass movie. Count me in among the viewers of the race when it unfolds in Beijing.
