Microsoft Wants You To Bing It

Windows 7 isn’t the only thing that Microsoft is working on. The Redmond software giant is moving away from “Windows Live Search” and its other variations to the more whimsical “Bing”. Microsoft is re-branding its search engine in hopes of making it friendlier and more accessible.

Aside from its primary function, Bing also offers other services as well, focusing on key areas such as health, images, news and maps. Bing Local, for example, includes search results relevant to your location. The revamped brand also features translation, travel and shopping services.

The name and strategy behind Bing is similar to what Google has in place, so it’s only fair that the gauge of its usage be the same. Google is such an integral part of the modern tech lifestyle that it has become a verb, with people telling others to “Google it” when they want to say “search the Web for it”. Can you imagine saying “Bing it”?
