Microsoft To Release Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2
Microsoft has announced that a new version of its popular yet problem-ridden browser is going to be released this August. Although this version of Internet Explorer 8 is a test only, the second beta following the one released last March, it will be fully-featured.
One feature is called “Activities,” which lets users highlight text on a Web page and then take that passage into another Web service.
For example, a user can highlight an address on a Web site and, then in one click, call up a map of that location.
It will be interesting to see how this one fares against the recently-released test version of Firefox 3.
