Laundry Hack: Washing Machine Updates Twitter When Clothes Are Clean

Have you ever started a load of laundry and had it sit there for hours or even days because you forgot about it? 25-year old TiVo employee Ryan Rose has come up with an innovative solution. He has hacked his washing machine so that it will send updates to a dedicated Twitter account when the laundry is done!

Not only has Ryan Rose successfully hacked his washing machine, but now over 150 people are following his laundry updates on Twitter. Even the company that manufactured his washing machine (Whirlpool) is following along with curiosity.

How long before our fridges will Twitter us when we’re running low on milk?
