Keyboard Teaches Typing The Old-Fashioned Way
When did you learn how to type? I think that for those of us who didn’t attend any formal classes, typing just kind of grew on us. When that happens, it’s going to be tough to unlearn it, so if you’re used to QWERTY I doubt you’ll willingly switch to Dvorak.
Faith Quintavell, creator of the Fast Finger Keyboard, would like to disagree with all of us. Her approach is to learn typing the same way we learned about letters: alphabetically. Check out the layout of those keys.
After she noticed a store clerk use what she calls the ‘hunt and peck” method of typing, she was inspired and created this intuitive keyboard. The Fast Finger Keyboard is especially helpful for beginner typists, as they can simply plug in the keyboard, and begin typing (assuming they know their ABC’s).
You can switch back to the standard QWERTY layout at the touch of a button. That means you won’t end up switching keyboards if you happen to be sharing the computer with someone else. It’s available at $27.95 USD. I’m not holding my breath for reviews of this device but I’ll be on the lookout for one just the same.
