iTunes To Carry HBO Series

Big fans of cable TV will be happy to note that HBO and Apple are working together to bring your favorite shows to your computer. Viewers can now purchase episodes of The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Deadwood, The Wire, Rome, and Flight of the Conchords through iTunes.

Right now, all six seasons of Sex and the City are available for purchase, as a promotion for the spin-off movie opening at the end of May. But iTunes currently offers only the first seasons of the other shows, as well as The Sopranos’ final season. (Flight of the Conchords has only had one season so far.)

A number of HBO original series are missing. The source points out that Entourage isn’t there and I noticed that Band of Brothers isn’t mentioned either. It’s possible that we’ll see them in the future, but for now, the episodes are available at $1.99 and $2.99, depending on the series.
