IE 8: InPrivate Browsing Mode Details
Remember that post about IE 8 being more porn-oriented? Well, Microsoft isn’t using those words to describe it, but with a browsing mode that literally covers your tracks (actually, it prevents you from making them in the first place), there’s no other way to say it. Here’s a list of the features:
- InPrivate™ Browsing lets you control whether or not IE saves your browsing history, cookies, and other data
- Delete Browsing History helps you control your browsing history after you’ve visited websites.
- InPrivate™ Blocking informs you about content that is in a position to observe your browsing history, and allows you to block it
- InPrivate Subscriptions allow you to augment the capability of InPrivate Blocking by subscribing to lists of websites to block or allow.
As you can see, InPrivate is a nicer way of saying you’re browsing for the naughty stuff. Will this prove to be a major selling point for IE 8? We’ll find out soon enough.
