Hollywood Gadgets: Get Smart’s Swiss Army Knife
It’s been a staple of James Bond movies to include numerous gadgets that appear ordinary but are actually more useful than what they seem to be. He’s got a watch that happens to have a laser, a ring that shatters bulletproof glass and a few minutes of breathable air stored in a tube-like container, among others. While not exactly a spy himself, MacGyver uses everyday objects and turns them into something different altogether.
Steve Carell’s new movie Get Smart presents a scenario where the two fictional characters meet: Bond and MacGyver—the former has his gadgets while the latter has his ever-reliable Swiss Army Knife. How do you combine them? Here are the Hollywood-style schematics:
