Google Updates Reader

Google has posted new features for Reader, its news aggregator and personal RSS feed reader of choice. For starters, here’s how sharing and noting will change:

Notes are great, but sometimes a note just isn’t enough. Notes occasionally need more color, more flavor, more organization. So, you can now add a tag while adding a note. This is especially useful if you use lots of tags to organize your posts, or if you have multiple public shared tags.

Another improvement is the long-overdue automatic alphabetical sorting of subscriptions, making adding new and existing feeds easier to see. It’s a welcome update, relieving users from the tedious task of manually arranging lists whenever something new is added. After more than two years of dragging and dropping my feeds to enumerate them alphabetically, it’s good to finally see this feature. Head over to the source for more details.
