Google Releases Picasa For Mac
Google has finally released Picasa for Mac! Its photo sharing and editing software has been available for Windows and Linux for a while now, so it’s only fair that Mac users get their share of the action.
We’re therefore excited to announce that we’re bringing the full version of Picasa to Mac OS X. Like its Windows and Linux counterparts, Picasa for Mac is a standalone program that helps you organize photos anywhere on your hard disk, edit your photos to perfection, and then easily share them online.
As a user of the software myself, what makes it convenient is how you can use it to organize and edit your photos, then upload them online. It also keeps track of your pictures so even the new ones are detected automatically. You can set it all up with your Google account, which is an added bonus.
Picasa for Mac “plays nice” with iPhoto. This means that you can set it up in a way that it doesn’t touch your iPhoto picture set in ways that you wouldn’t want it to. You can edit and experiment as much as you like without having to create file backups every time. Hit the source for more information.
