Google Calendar Now Available Offline

calendaroffline.PNG

Google’s going gaga with this offline thing. The search engine giant has announced that Google Calendar now has an offline mode. As you can probably guess, it allows you to view events and activities even when you don’t have Internet access. You won’t be able to make any changes though, so make sure you save your calendar correctly before going offline.

To enable the feature, log in to Google Calendar and hit the Offline Beta link. Google would like to remind everyone that the word “beta” is there for a reason. There are a few issues with it so make sure you report what run into if you’re going to try it out. Another thing to note is that the offline mode is just one of the options available for Calendar. iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices can be synced with it. If you’re a Symbian user, you probably feel left out already.
