Do Google Androids dream of HTC sheep?

Courtesy of some leaked snapshots found on a Taiwanese mobile phone forum, the first pics of the HTC Dream have surfaced. The HTC Dream will be the first phone on the market to feature Google’s new mobile operating system Android.

Scheduled to be released in the US by T-Mobile this summer, there’s still no word on when or where Canadian’s will be able to get their hands on one.

The HTC Dream will be T-Mobile’s attempt to unseat Apple’s iPhone as the reigning champ in the smartphone market.

One can safely assume a touchscreen like that of most new phones will be implemented. Despite that, I love the inclusion of a QWERTY keyboard. While touching is great for navigation, texting has always been a nightmare on such devices. It also appears the HTC will offer some sort of accelerometer to compete with the iPhone’s, as these photos show the phone operating similar functions in both horizontal and vertical positions.
