Curl Up & Lie, Get A Projected Girl

The idea of virtual girlfriends has been around for ages. Weird Science brought the idea to the big screen while virtual girlfriend programs are available on the Internet. The image of a beautiful girl who is willing to do anything and everything is very appealing. Regardless of whether you’re answering a sexual or social need, virtual girlfriends are the stuff some movies and dreams are made off.

NYU student XX is taking a step forward in that area. He introduced an invention that guarantees that you’ll have something to snuggle up to when you sleep: a 2-D girl. Here are the details:

“Yeah, you can’t feel the girl. That’s the thing,” Burrows explained as he demonstrated his invention, an “infrared sensitive” light projection (meaning it reacts, and the projected woman moves, based on an infrared sensor) called INBED. “Still, it’s so nice if you’re tired and worn out to have someone to curl up with.”

If you’re in the mood for some virtual, projected companionship, keep a close eye on this guy. Who knows? Maybe someday the image will be three-dimentional.
