CES: HydroPak Provides Portable Power
The Consumer Electronics Show, AKA CES, is less than a week away, so expect to see a lot of new technology in the coming days. An example of that is the HydroPak, a generator that uses a water-activated cartridge system to provide power. It features the following:
- Provides infinite shelf life and enough energy to recharge an average notebook computer 8 to 10 times
- Can run indoors with quiet operation and zero harmful emissions
- Is quieter, lighter and smaller than generators
- Stores more energy than possible with batteries
- Has a lower cost than any similar fuel cell device
It has an AC outlet and two USB ports, making it capable of powering small appliances, laptops and the like. It’s set to sell for $400 USD.
