Businesses Relying On Online Reviews For Increased Exposure
When you’re considering buying a new product or enlisting a new service, do you go to the Internet to check for reviews first? I do, and apparently a lot of other people do the same thing, prompting businesses to turn to online reviews as a means of attracting potential customers.
Picking up on a trend started by the travel industry, business-listing sites by Google, Yahoo and others including Yelp and Citysearch let customers rave about their favorites, or complain about poor service. That helps consumers get real-life opinions about local businesses and services.
