Better Late Than Never: Microsoft To Improve Vista
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, then you know that I’m not a fan of Windows Vista. Up to now I haven’t upgraded to it and I’m dreading the day when I’ll finally be forced to do so. I’m not looking forward to it, but it seems to be inevitable at this point.
For those of you who have been wondering what Microsoft has been doing regarding Vista, you’ll be glad to know that it’s finally waking up to the reality that its latest OS is far from being the greatest platform in the world. Here’s what Brad Books, VP of Windows Vista consumer marketing, is going to do to improve things:
It all starts with small businesses getting free support and the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, but apparently will end up being so much more.
“…we’ve woken up, and it’s time to take our message forward.” The company has invested significant resources to make it possible.
Well, let’s hope that Microsoft delivers this time around. It took them long enough to admit that Vista has major problems.
