AppleTV updated to 2.2, plays nice with iTunes 8
Those of you who have read our hands on review of iTunes 8 may remember a bit of a complaint I had when it came to AppleTV. You see, while iTunes 8 introduced HD programming to the iTunes Store, none of that HD goodness could be streamed to your AppleTV. Now, thanks to firmware 2.2, AppleTV can do that and more.
While a few background tweaks are included in the update, the other big news is the inclusion of Genius support. While listening to a tune through AppleTV, just hold down the Menu button to start Genius. Not sure what Genius is? Check out our review of iTunes new recommendation service right here.
