Apple to Open Store in Toronto
I don’t know about anyone else, but it really bugged me to read about all the great Apple stores in other countries, I really wanted one in Ottawa where I currently live, but instead they have chosen Toronto as the place to open their next Apple retail store. This will be the second Canadian location, and interestingly enough, it will also be the second location in Toronto.
The store will open in Toronto’s Eaton Centre on Saturday, May 6th at 9:30 a.m. The store will of course feature Apple’s entire product line from its popular iPod music players all the way up to its MacBook Pro notebooks.
As part of the opening of the store, Apple will be featuring some brainwashing free educational presentations and the first 1,000 customers to visit the new store will receive an Apple T-shirt.
And that’s not all, there will also be A Grand Opening Sweepstakes and the prize is a “Digital Lifestyle Collection” (value $2,229), consisting of a 17’’ flat-panel Intel Core Duo Mac, an iPod nano, Canon PowerShot SD450 digital camera, Sony Handycam CCD-TRV138, and HP Deskjet 5440 printer. The store is located on the third floor of Toronto’s Eaton Centre at 220 Yonge St.
