Amazon Kindle 2 leaked?
The lucky devils over at BoyGeniusReport claim to have a mole inside of Amazon — a mole that has brought us the first images and details of the second incarnation of the Amazon Kindle.
From the looks of the new device, Amazon has tried to address some of the criticisms of the Kindle, most of which revolve around its somewhat homely design and a few poorly placed buttons. The shape has been modified to make the new Kindle more attractive, but it appears Amazon is sticking with the same off-white color scheme–for better or worse.
The mole says this version is roughly the same size, but lighter and sturdier. He also claims they’ve opted for a mini-USB charge option rather than the adapter that had shipped with the previous model.
As you can see from the side by side comparison above (the new one is on the right) there’s definitely an asthetic improvement. Now if only they’d bring it to Canada.
