Adobe Launches Its Own Media Player
Adobe is joining the media player race with version one of the Adobe Media Player (AKA AMP). Based on Flash technology, it will allow users to not only play videos but also create original content.
The move makes Adobe the latest player to get into the online video space, offering not only software that rivals Apple’s Quicktime and Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, but also video content such as episodes of “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: New York,” along with other feature programming and music videos.
Users will be able to:
- sort and search content.
- subscribe to favorite shows and get schedule reminders.
- view content online and offline.
- download it for free, for both Mac and Windows.
You can get the software here.
