A Different Kind Of Bike
If you think you’re brave and daring, you can give the Uno Motorcycle a try. It’s a motorcycle with a unique design twist: the two wheels are set next to each other. It made a recent appearance at the 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Toronto and its odd appearance made it stand out.
The orange and grey coloured Uno made its first public appearance balanced on its two side-by-side wheels and its footpegs. Looking more like it should have been ridden by George Jetson as he pulled up to his space platform, it looked out of place amid the other custom creations in the building. Perhaps that’s why it garnered so much attention.
The placement of the two wheels will take care of any concerns regarding lateral balance. My main question is handling: simply put, how well does it ride? The bike’s design seems like it’s placing its driver in a very precarious position.
